Heating Your Home With Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is the modern and efficient choice for heating domestic and commercial properties.

Warm-water underfloor heating systems use low temperature water (typically 35-50°C), circulating through a series of continuous pipe loops laid under the floor, turning it into one large radiant surface.

Underfloor heating has been commonplace throughout Europe for the past decade, and is now proving very popular in the UK as it provides heating with numerous benefits including:

  • Lower running costs
  • Better air quality
  • More even heat
  • Unobtrustive - no bulky radiators on the walls

Underfloor heating offers a better air quality as it provides the warmth to a room from the floor up, rather than heating the ceiling space first. Underfloor heating is ideally suited to work with with heat pumps because of the lower flow temperature. Underfloor heating is the most efficient form of heat emitter whatever the heat source.

We offer a range of Continental warm-water underfloor heating systems. We recommend Continental systems as they offer the widest choice of pipe types, methods of control, and a complete range of installation and fixing methods to suit solid, screed, joisted and floating floors.

Each system is a bespoke design to suit your property and requirements. Simply provide us with floor plans and we will do the rest. The systems are designed to be compatible with virtually all types of floor finish, including carpets and wood floors. They are easily combined with towel rails or radiators, and can be powered from any heat source. Individual room temperature control comes as standard, unless you request otherwise.

Thermostatic controls range from simple rotary-dial to remote control with radio frequency. All controls are simple to program and use.
