Below are some before/after images of a conversion from a 1970s oil fired system to a state of the art ASHP system providing space heating and hot water to a 17th century cottage. The previous heating system had been installed around the 1970s and had began to fail, the homeowners then took the decision to modernise their home with a renewable heating system after much debate whether this could work in such an old property! This installation is just one part of their efforts to move toward becoming "off grid" including insulation works to the property and the installation of photovoltaic panels. With the homeowner being able to claim the £7500 boiler upgrade scheme grant, this installation was not only a huge step toward future proofing their home but cost effective too!
